NPR favs

Seeing the recording studio was our favorite thing we saw at Boston's NPR station, WBUR, because it gave you an insiders look at how radio gets on the air. The room is completely sound-proof, which ensures quality of sound, makes it seem like the person on the radio is right in the room with you, and keeps people focused on what they are supossed to be doing during the broadcast. Our Q/A session also gave us a lot of info about stuff we didn't talk about on the tour. We found WBUR is not only a national station, they also focus a lot on local news, and make sure they really relate to the listeners.
